Upper Cervical research shows promise for ankylosing spondylitis | Natural treatment for ankylosing spondylitis

Ankylosing spondylitis (A.S.) is a difficult autoimmune condition that typically begins in adolescents and young adults, but it affects people for the rest of their lives. Men are more likely to develop ankylosing spondylitis than are women.  A.S. usually starts in the affected individual in the early twenties.  The first signs of the disease start in the joint between the low back and the pelvis (sciatic joint) gradually working its way up the spine.  A.S. causes pain and stiffness in its early stages and then Ankylosing Spondylitisprogresses into fusion of the spine.  In this article we will discuss research published showing Blair Upper Cervical chiropractic and knee chest procedures helping the condition improve.

    CLINICAL FINDINGS OF ANKYLOSING SPONDYLITIS:

    People may experience:

Pain areas: in the ankle, eyes, heel, hip joints, lower back, middle back, neck, or shoulders
Pain circumstances: can occur during rest
Visual: blurred vision or sensitivity to light
Eyes: inflammation of the eye’s middle layer or redness
Joints: back joint dysfunction or stiffness
Also common: arthritis, bone tissue formation, fatigue, hunched back, inflamed tendons, inflammatory bowel disease, or physical deformity

Traditionally ankylosing spondylitis is treated with anti-inflammatory medication, stretching and therapeutic exercise.  There is a genetic component associated with AS called HBLA 27 gene. The disease is progressive and medically there is no cure. Here is the good news, patients with AS have found relief with Blair Upper Cervical Chiropractic Care.
